Museums are among my favorite places. I planned my children's education around museum visits. Often spending the grocery budget to purchase museum membership and admission tickets. Museum visits with my children in tow centered around our unit studies on oil drilling, space exploration, or entomology. With our sandwiches and water bottles in our backpacks we tackled our lessons with the passion of a hungry bear. Or at least I did. I love learning, something my daddy bequeathed me and a trait I hope I bequeathed my offspring.

| George W. Bush, the 43rd President. |
Today I visited the George W. Bush Museum in Dallas. This time, I did not have to settle any sibling squabbles, or skip all the signs with essay-like explanations. I did not have to redirect the attention of my school aged children or point out how important this piece of legislation was. Today, I got to read every sign and listen to all the entries on the audio self guide. I watched all the films and interacted with each technology-rich exhibit. I sat on the benches and just breathed in all the wonderful knowledge and learner-friendly delivery of information. When I get to heaven, God will be waiting to take me through a giant museum of all human history and the wonders of all creation.
